How to Fix Bare Spots

If you have areas of your yard which are completely bare:

STEP ONE

Break up the existing soil in the ground with a rake.

STEP TWO

Add a grass seed. Choose the best seed for your area (shade, high traffic, etc)

STEP THREE

Apply LawnDiggity Lawn Feed!

STEP FOUR

Cover with a nutrient-rich topsoil. Topsoil should be generously applied to all dead, thin or areas that don’t look healthy. The topsoil will look like small wood chips, and this is exactly what your lawn needs. It should be spread about 1 inch thick.

Pro tip: when applying, flip your metal rake over with the prongs facing the sky. Use the top, flat portion of the rake to smooth out any clumps of topsoil and ensure it is evenly spread in the affected areas.
